Conservatives across America are rising up to protest Obama’s plans
to socialize our health care system. There’s much more at stake,
however, than just being able to choose our own doctor. Liberals
know how important this battle is, which is why they’re calling the
protesters racists. If they can intimidate us into silence on this
issue, they know there’s no stopping Obama’s socialist juggernaut.
If we don’t win this fight, the implications are more frightening
than many people realize.
The full report:
In 1973 there was a Charlton Heston movie called Soylent Green,
which depicted a nightmarish future for Americans, especially the
elderly. In the film, America is massively overpopulated and
resources are scarce. Food riots are common, and old people are
seen as nothing but useless eaters, a burden on society which must
be removed. In response, the government opens up euthanasia
clinics to solve the problem. Such a bleak future is hard to
envision, but some of the rhetoric we’re hearing with regard to
Obamacare protesters is truly frightening.
All over America, members of the Silent Majority are turning out in
droves to oppose Obama’s plans to nationalize the health care
system in the name of compassion for the less fortunate. Many of
the protesters are the same folks who stayed home during the
November elections because they saw no real differences between
Obama and McCain. The energy that’s being unleashed in opposition
to socialized medicine clearly demonstrates that if the GOP had
offered up a truly conservative candidate, we would no doubt have a
Republican in the White House today.
These good folks may not have come out and voted for a RINO, but
they will come out and take a stand against an issue that directly
affects them. Obama’s proposed “health care reform” has outraged
the Silent Majority like few other issues in recent memory. They
understand just how much is at stake, and how vitally important it
is that we don’t let the federal government take over the health
care system. It’s imperative that we keep the freedom to make our
own health care decisions, and huge numbers of conservatives are
showing up at town hall meetings all over America to raise their
voices against Obamacare.
This grass roots movement is critical when it comes to preserving a
free market in health care, but it goes beyond that. We are poised
at a critical point in American history, and the Obamacare uprising
may very well be the decisive factor in whether we can start
bringing the US back to its conservative roots, or if the radicals
and hard core socialists will finally be able to remake the
government and the nation in their own image. This just may be the
Silent Majority’s last stand. Thankfully, they’re not so silent
anymore.
If you’ve been keeping up with news accounts of the Obamacare
protests, you’ve seen for yourself the insults and vituperation
being directed at the protesters, both by left wing politicians and
their accomplices in the liberal media. The level of hatred being
expressed is unprecedented, and there’s a reason for it. The
liberals know that these protesters are all that stand between them
and their dream of a socialist America. That’s why they’re pulling
out all the stops in a desperate attempt to shut down these
protests before they get out of hand.
In order to stop the movement dead in its tracks, the left wingers
are shamelessly playing the race card. They’re denouncing these
patriotic protesters as racists and even Nazis, outrageously
describing them as nothing but a bunch of old white people who are
simply angry that America has a black president, who are only using
socialized medicine as an excuse to vent their pent up racism. The
leftists keep hammering this theme every night on the cable news
shows, and all over the internet on the various liberal websites
and blogs.
Never mind that not all the protesters are white. In fact, one
patriotic black man was actually beaten and called a racial slur in
St. Louis for daring to carry a Don’t Tread On Me flag. The media
has barely mentioned this story, because it doesn’t fit the “old
white racists” script they’re pushing. Countless stories have
referred to the town hall protesters as “brown shirts”, and Nancy
Pelosi claimed she saw some of them with swastikas. A few nights
ago, MSNBC gave ex-evangelical Frank Schaefer nearly eight minutes
to rant about these “old white people” who are a threat to
democracy itself. Schaefer repeatedly implied that if these folks
aren’t stopped, they’re going to assassinate someone before it’s
all over.
This kind of rhetoric is nothing less than reprehensible and would
probably be labeled a hate crime if the roles were reversed. Yes,
it’s true that the vast majority of the protesters are white.
That’s understandable – the vast majority of conservatives are
white and a large majority of older Americans are white. It’s by
and large older conservatives who are attending these protests, so
it stands to reason that most of them are going to be white people.
The Obama crowd and the media ignore these indisputable facts of
political life in order to throw around the racist label.
Obama may have run as a “post racial” candidate, but he’s nothing
of the sort. Look at his reaction to the Henry Gates arrest, where
he said the police acted “stupidly.” Look at the recent decision
by one of his top appointees to drop all voter intimidation charges
against Black Panthers who stood in front of a polling place and
told white voters, “you are about to be ruled by the black man,
crackers.”
Obama once told a radio station that it was a shame that the Civil
Rights movement hadn’t focused more of their efforts on
“redistributive change” legislation, because the courts weren’t the
proper place to seek “major redistributive change”:
“Maybe I am showing my bias here as a legislator as well as a law
professor, but you know I am not optimistic about bringing about
major redistributive change through the courts. You know the
institution just isn’t structured that way…. Any of the three of
us sitting here could come up with a rationale for bringing about
economic change through the courts. I think that, as a practical
matter, that our institutions are just poorly equipped to do it.”
As president though, Obama is in a perfect position to bring about
a major redistribution of wealth with the backing of liberals in
Congress. Socialized medicine is just the first stage of his
long-term plans.
Because of the huge demographic changes in America, elderly people,
who benefit the most from health care spending, are mostly white,
while younger ones are much more racially diverse. Obama evidently
sees it as his role to redistribute wealth from older people to
younger ones, who are much more likely to be black or Hispanic.
When coupled with decades of unchecked immigration, both legal and
illegal, it won’t be long before the Democrats will be able to
simply buy enough votes in every election to stay in power, and
they’ll have no concern for what “old racist white people” want or
need.
That’s why this battle to stop Obamacare and illegal immigration is
so crucial. If we fail, all Americans may be headed for a
nightmare in our old age, where we’re herded into underfunded,
government-run nursing homes, staffed by poorly trained immigrants
who regard us as burdens on “their” society. We simply must stop
Obamacare. Then we have to elect men and women who will bring an
immediate halt to the mass immigration that is destroying our
American identity at its very foundation. This is a battle we
simply can’t afford to lose.
